How the partnership works
PurePods offers farmers an attractive, eco-friendly way to diversify revenues from traditional farming sources. In return for a one-off partnership fee and an ongoing lease, farmers receive a monthly profit share from PurePods. As one of our PurePod partners says, “It was a no-brainer for us, we had fabulous views on unused farmland and we were looking at ways to generate more income. Our bank manager loves the regular monthly income, from a profitable business that is totally unrelated to typical farming challenges.”

Over the past 8 years, we’ve mastered the design and construction elements required to provide an all-year-round eco-friendly glass cabin. In addition, we understand the process of obtaining the relevant building and resource consents, and constructing a PurePod in isolated locations, so we can ensure the process is as simple and straightforward as possible ready for you to receive an easy monthly payment.

Our vision
We are keen to continue building our network of PurePods, while providing New Zealand’s leading luxury off-grid accommodation experience. Our existing PurePods consistently achieve 5-star reviews from guests and high returns for landowners.
We have well-established relationships with high-end travel agents and expect to see significant demand from international guests when our borders reopen, so are looking forward to expanding throughout the length and breadth of the country to provide even more unique experiences in our wonderful New Zealand landscape.
Our criteria for sites and landowners are:
- Complete privacy and minimal road noise
- Spectacular views
- Potable water available at the site
- Walk-in access
- Reasonable vehicle access (for the build and for access for housekeeping and maintenance)
- Commitment to sustainability
We tend to avoid locations with other buildings or noisy activities in close proximity, small lifestyle blocks, intensive farming and properties with absentee owners (we prefer you or your trusted staff member to live on or near the property).
